| I have 20 years experience working in 23 countries in projects and programmes related to agriculture and rural development, science and technology, community development and participation, project planning, management, monitoring and evaluation. This includes a strong training, research and publication record. |

| For the past 7 years I have led two successful multi-stakeholder international rural development projects, involving 16 countries, funded by the European Union and AusAID. |

| I have postgraduate qualifications in agriculture, rural development and community development. Working with total professionalism and integrity, and always critically reflecting on my role and performance, I provide strong motivation and initiative to those working in rural development. |

| I have spent my professional life working with rural communities and partner organisations to enhance capacity and livelihoods. This was my motivation when I started out in this career. It has not changed, rather my commitment to improving livelihoods and wellbeing through capacity building and rural development has grown. |
